Virginia R. Dipietro
One of five children, Virginia was born in Boston on November 1, 1935 a daughter of the late John E. Leear and Rose (Rosemayer) Malloy. She was raised in Boston where she attended parochial school, graduating from Girls School in Roxbury.
After graduating high school, she enrolled in the Nursing School of Middlesex College.A naturally caring person, Virginia worked as a Registered Nurse for almost 40 years at Cambridge Brands. Helping her fellow company employees as the dedicated Occupational Nurse was important to her. She made many lasting relationships and friendships with coworkers who relied on her nursing care as well as knowledge about the company.
A Wakefield resident for over 50 years, Virginia was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She filled her free time with many arts and crafts projects, sewing, traveling, reading, and cooking big meals for her family. She will be remembered as a source of great strength, kindness, and love by her family.
Virginia was the beloved mother of Frank DiPietro of Wakefield, and the late Donna Booth and her surviving husband James of Seabrook, NH. Cherished grandmother of James DiPietro of Wakefield and Krista DiPietro of Pelham, NH. Dear sister of Robert Leear of Brockton, Patricia Bennet of Brockton, and the late Richard Leear and John Malloy.
Relatives and friends will gather in honor and remembrance of Virginia's life during visiting hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Thursday, December 10 from 4-8pm, and again on Friday morning at 9AM before leaving in procession to Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield for her Funeral Mass celebrated at 10AM.
