Walter L. Reid
Walter was born in Melrose, one of two sons of the late George L. Reid and Dorothy F. (Pickett) Reid.He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School, Class of 1970.He attended Merrimack College and worked as a Locksmith for 30 years for Boston Lock & Safe in Brighton.He was an avid Celtics and Patriots fan.Above all else, Walter cherished his grandchildren and loved being at home with his family.
Walter was the beloved husband of Kaitlin A. (Corson) Reid with whom he shared 41 years of marriage.Devoted father of Walter L. Reid, Jr. and his wife Michele of McGraw, NY, Trevor J. Reid of Brookline, and Dustin M. Reid and his wife Hannah of Houston, TX.Dear brother of George L. Reid, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Melrose.Also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends will honor and remember Walter's life with a private family gathering.Interment in Wyoming Cemetery, Melrose.
