Mr. William M. Magnuson, 83 of North Reading, formerly of Melrose died Friday October 10, 2003 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital. Bill was born September 28, 1920 in Everett, MA, son of the late Rose (Liberti) and William Magnuson.Bill had lived in North Reading for 32 years and was a retired Police Officer with the Boston and Maine Railroad. He served his country during WWII and received the Bronze Star.Bill was a member of the Golden Rule Lodge AF&AM, Wakefield and the Aleppo Temple Shrine. William M. Magnuson was husband of the late Dorothy F. (Walton) Magnuson. Father of William Magnuson of Xenia, OH and Step father of Richard W. Collins of Pensacola, FL and Barbara J. Chetwynd of Dracut.Also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., MELROSE Friday Oct. 17 at9:15AM.Funeral Mass in St. Theresa's Church, Route 62, North Reading at 10:30 AM.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.Visiting hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Interment will be in Plaistow Cemetery, Plaistow, NH. Arrangements by the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose, MA 02176.
